The snowball mindset

Each room asks for $1,000,000 to escape, and that number looks absurd when you're earning 3 gold a throw. It isn't — incremental income is exponential. The same dart that pays 3 gold early can pay over 90,000 once you've stacked multipliers. Your job isn't to grind to a million; it's to keep raising the rate at which you earn so the million arrives on its own.

The golden rule: never sit on currency. Idle gold and cash earn nothing. The instant you can afford an upgrade that raises income, buy it — the earlier each multiplier lands, the more it compounds.

Fastest cash in each room

• Room 1 (darts → gold). Rush the gold-value multipliers, then the Machine Gunner Mouse so the board auto-throws. Value first, speed second.
• Room 2 (scratch tickets → cash). Move off the $6 starter tickets and onto bigger $10K+ tickets as soon as they pay off, hire the Toad Accountant, and keep tickets running to fish for jackpots.
• Room 3 (dice → multipliers). This room's multipliers feed your whole economy — every point here makes the other rooms earn faster, so it's high-leverage cash indirectly.
• Room 4 (sushi → effects). Use its game-altering effects to remove whatever bottleneck is slowing your current run.

Automate, then idle

Active clicking is only for the opening minutes of each room. The real money machine is automation: once a helper or auto-collect is doing the work, that room earns continuously — including while you're busy in another room. Prioritise getting at least one automated income source running in every room you've opened, then shift your active attention to whichever room is closest to its next big multiplier.

Offline & passive income

Fortune Mill earns passive income across all rooms, so progress doesn't stop when you do. Before you close the game, make sure every unlocked room is automated and that you've spent your spare currency — you don't want a million sitting idle while you're away when it could have been a multiplier compounding the whole time. (The game has Steam Cloud, so your save follows you between machines.)
